Small boxes – big impact.

At Ortofon and Ortofon Microtech, Ultraplast’s small plastic boxes play a surprisingly big role in production. They bring structure, ensure gentle handling, and streamline logistics across departments, products, and processes. Most importantly, they help maintain the highest quality standards by protecting the many delicate, precision-engineered components that go into our products.

“These boxes are essential for everything from inventory management and picking to organizing parts – whether it’s high-end audio or advanced microcomponents,” says Nanna Sofie Madsen.

Expertise at Ortofon and Ortofon Microtech
Ortofon is renowned for high-end audio and precision components, while Ortofon Microtech specializes in microcomponents made from plastic, rubber, and metal for hearing aids and other demanding applications. Together, these areas create a seamless, structured production flow with one clear focus: uncompromising quality.

Rubber Production
In rubber manufacturing, the boxes are a constant presence. They store rubber bearings, cantilever springs, and damper rubber – all critical elements in producing cartridges and medical industry components, where cleanliness and organization are key to quality.

Moving Coil production
In the MC department, the boxes handle tiny, sensitive parts used in Ortofon’s handcrafted high-end cartridges – including cantilever springs and armatures. They ensure these microscopic components are stored and managed safely throughout the entire production process.

Elsewhere in MM production, the boxes hold surplus precision parts such as contact pins, frames, pole pins, and pole cylinders. They’re also integrated into workstations as practical holders for frequently used components, so employees always have what they need at hand.

“Ultraplast’s boxes may be small, but they make a huge difference in our production. They add structure, quality, and efficiency to everything we do – from high-end audio to advanced microcomponents. Their flexibility and durability make them a cornerstone of our internal logistics and a solution we rely on throughout the organization,” concludes Nanna Sofie Madsen
